A Chilly DC Afternoon in February

Despite the 40 degree weather on this February afternoon, Sydni and Will brought all of the heat to their classy + casual engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial! We started out their session with stunning elegant outfits (I’m a sucker for flowey dresses especially!) and then they changed into these adorable sweatsuits with their fave sneakers!

I love how they incorporated a part of their personalities into their session. The sweatsuits + sneakers really made this session unique and special to them. Sydni said they’ve always been really interested in nice sneakers and enjoy wearing “street wear”.

I normally a sucker for light/neutral-colored outfits, but the contract of their classy black outfits against the white marble of the Jefferson Memorial makes them look so sophisticated and badass!

The Story of Sydni & Will

Sydni and Will first met during their Freshman year of college at the dining hall. Of course, an exchange of social media info occured and from there, they chatted until becoming official.

Will proposed to Sydni during a trip to Pennsylvania for a friend’s wedding! Sydni is also from PA so while there, they scheduled a dinner with her family. Little did she know that this dinner reservation was really for her own proposal, surrounded by friends and family!

These two will be traveling back to PA for their wedding day and I am so excited for them! I will be wishing them all the best for their planning endeavors + the journey of marriage.

As a heads up, the Jefferson Memorial is a location that requires a photography permit but no need to worry–I am always here to handle the application process 🙂
