Strolling Around Georgetown
I cannot begin to express how thrilled I was when Greer suggested a Spring engagement session in Georgetown at sunrise because I have been DYING to have a session just like this! Although I was hoping the canal would be filled, it was still so beautiful to explore the canal walkway and snap some photos.
We also made a stop at Baked & Wired where Greer and Corey had their first date! We had to capture the sentimentality of this spot with a quick photo of them walking by.
As we strolled, we came across the Old Stone House which is apparently the oldest structure on its original foundation in D.C.! There’s a quaint garden hidden in the back which even Corey and Greer had never noticed before despite their many years spent in Georgetown. It created such a beautiful backdrop for their photos and gave a similar feeling to their wedding venue (River Farm in Alexandria, VA).
A Perfect Match
With every couple I photograph, I always send out a questionnaire to learn more about them as a couple and as individuals. This helps me to capture them and their love in the most authentic way possible. Some couples leave a lot of room for the imagination and other couples spill all of the details–both of which are totally fine but I can’t help being grateful for the ones who share all! Greer and Corey had me giggling and smiling as I read through their responses. I could feel the love and adoration they had for each other just through the words they typed out, and boy was this evident when I met them in person!
Needless to say, I am so excited to capture their wedding day in May of 2025 because I know the day will be filled with endless amounts of love, smiles, and giggles from the two of them.
