May Wedding at Florida Rustic Barn Weddings

Come inside and take a peek at Jackie & Garrett’s springtime wedding at Florida Rustic Barn Weddings in Plant City, FL. Their venue was adorned in rustic + elegant accents with taupe, ivory, and eucalyptus tones. In typical Florida fashion, it was a sweltering day but Jackie didn’t even seem to break a sweat–at least, not until she hit the dancefloor!

Let’s Go Girls!

The day started with the ladies getting their hair and makeup done off-site with the amazing artists and stylists of Femme Akoi. I met them at the venue once they were all glammed up and it was time to start those fun “Getting Ready” photos! Champagne, newspapers, and giggles filled the room as we snapped away. Jackie’s closest friends and soon-to-be family surrounded her with love, joy, and support as she readied herself to be wed.

I absolutely adore the Bridal Suite at Florida Rustic Barn Weddings! There is plenty of room (and AC!) for the ladies to get primped and dressed. I especially love the vanity in the corner, and the “Its Always Been You” sign above the couch. Just precious! The porch of the suite is also quite a vibe in and of itself, particularly if you’re looking for that rustic, western feel.

As her Maid of Honor, Jackie’s twin sister helped her into her dress and shoes. I’m so glad these two sisters have such a strong bond. Everyone needs someone to have their back, and Jackie’s sister 100% had Jackie’s back on her wedding day as she attended to every detail!

First Look with Dad

Jackie wanted to share a First Look with her father before the ceremony. Jackie is the first daughter to be married so she was very excited to share this special moment with her dad. She met him under a large Oak tree just out front of the Bridal Suite. She even brought him a sweet gift!

Let the Ceremony Begin

It was finally time for the ceremony! Everyone was sat on the benches at the Chapel in the Gables (ceremony site for the Prairie Glenn Barn). I love how Jackie honored her late mother by reserving her a front-row seat with a large photo and banner of her. Her mother was certainly smiling down on her throughout this entire day.

The processional began and I captured the sweet emotions of both Garrett and his mom. Jackie approached the altar on her father’s arm, she joined Garrett, and history began to write itself.

You would never know it, but the Florida heat did get to one of the guests in the midst of the ceremony. Rest assured that they recovered just fine, but let this serve as a reminder: If you are attending a springtime Florida Rustic Barn Wedding (or summer too!), make sure to stay hydrated and wear loose, cotton attire if possible! You never know when the heat will be overwhelming.

The ceremony went on and before we knew it, the rings have been exchanged, the first kiss happened, and the newlyweds were headed back down the aisle as husband and wife!

Time to Party!

Once the ceremony was over, we took some time to take family and wedding party photos. These are surely going to be looked back on with love and adoration for many years to come! Perhaps one day, some of these will even be hung on the walls of their home.

The party began with intros and the couple’s First Dance. After dinner, the Parent Dances were announced. I thought it was so sweet how Garrett made sure to invite his step-mother for a mother/son dance too!

Their reception included tons of dancing, cake cutting, and a classic bouquet toss–and then more dancing to follow. For the grand exit, Jackie and Garrett ran out of the barn with friends surrounding them with sparklers before they drove off into the night in their getaway car.

It was truly such a beautiful day not only to witness, but to capture as well! I am so thankful to Mr. & Mrs. Seidel for trusting me with their precious memories. I hope they will look back on these images forever and be transported back to their wedding day.
