Gardenesque Vibes for a Blooming Love Story

Since moving to the DC Metro area in June, Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD has quickly become one of my favorite locations to have sessions at. Rachel & Josh’s engagement session here only solidified my love for this spot even further! There are endless spots to capture love to the fullest extent–from a decent-sized pond to gazebos to the variety of flora all around, Brookside Gardens is one for the “brooks” (see what I did there? 😉).

Rachel shared with me that their wedding will include greenery and white florals, so she really wanted to have their engagement session at a location where there was plenty of greenery and nature to be found! I also learned that Josh is quite a botanist himself. He was naming off different plants and telling fun facts throughout the session which I thought was so cool. I even learned what an anemone flower looked like (way different that what I had imagined in my head 😂)!

Can we also take a minute to talk about how stunning Rachel’s dresses are?! This girl has some good taste! I’d say that I can’t wait to see what beauty she picks out for her wedding gown, but I’ve already seen it and boy does it live up to the hype and her exquisite taste in style!

We also need to take a minute to admire how beautiful she looks. Rachel had her hair and makeup done by Luciana who owns Artistry by Lucy. She’ll be beautifying Rachel on her wedding day as well!

I know Rachel & Josh’s wedding at the Mansion at Strathmore is going to be so stunning this coming September. I cannot wait to see the magic that comes about from their vision and the magic we will create in-camera on their wedding day!
